Marigold& Hound

About

Dani & Beto

Every dog leaves happier than they came.

A Marigold & Hound groomer with a calm, happy dog

A neighborhood shop

Dani Ruiz opened Marigold & Hound off 4th Avenue in Tucson, Arizona with one groomer, one table, and a promise: no dog gets rushed. Beto Alvarez joined not long after.

Where the colors came from

The sign over the door — a marigold hound on a teal board — was hand-painted by Pilar Nuñez, a sign painter two blocks over, the week the shop opened.

The method

Every dog gets the same table manners: a slow start, treats that actually work, and a groomer who stops if it’s too much. That’s the whole method.

Fear Free handling. Appointment-based. One dog on the table at a time.

Biscuit used to shake in the car on the way over. Now he drags ME to the door.

Renee M.

First groomer who didn't rush my old girl. Worth the drive from Marana.

Carlos T.

They called before doing anything extra. That never happens.

Pull up. Biscuit's waiting.
